A rebuild for S1Jobs
S1Jobs is one of Scotland’s best-known job boards. Its rebuild was the first major one in 15 years, and Billy McColl was integral to the team that delivered it.

The problem
Rebuilding a long-established, busy website is very different from building a new one. Years of content, users and habits have to come across safely, and the site has to keep working for the people relying on it while the new version takes shape.
What was built
A rebuilt site, delivered by a team, with careful planning, plenty of testing and good communication throughout. Billy was one of the developers at the heart of it.
The result
Working at that scale shaped how we build every website now, however small. If your business has an older website that needs replacing, we can rebuild it without losing what already works, from your content to the pages Google already knows.
What it means for your project
- Plan the move before writing new code, so nothing important is lost
- Test properly on real devices, especially phones
- Keep pages fast and simple to use
